ITV Dancing on Ice’s Liberty Poole ‘Gets Dirty’ in Movie Week Costume, Fans Say

Fans of ITV’s Dancing on Ice weren’t impressed with Liberty Poole’s zebra costume.

The theme of the Sunday night show (January 30) was cinema, with celebrities dressing up as characters from classics like Moulin Rouge and Indiana Jones.

But someone who played a slightly less glamorous role was Brummie Love Island star Liberty Poole, who dressed in a black and white striped leotard for an energetic routine on ‘I Like To Move It’ from Madagascar.

Liberty and her professional partner Joe Johnson, who was dressed as a lion, scored 27 out of a possible 40 for the dance.

However, her performance divided viewers at home, who took to Twitter to comment on the costume.

Sophie Robinson @_sophieee97 tweeted, “I’d be mad if they gave me this song and this outfit.”

Scott @Sc0ttWells agreed, writing, “I feel like they messed Liberty up with that routine and costume.”

Tom @its_only_tom_ was also unimpressed, asking, “I love Liberty but seriously, what is it?”

Erin @_erinz_ added, “Ohhh why did they dress Liberty up as a zebra. She didn’t look comfortable there at all.”

And Jodie @jlb26_ said, “That might have been one of the weirdest routines I’ve ever seen on this show.”

However, not all fans agreed, with some praising the outfit choice.

Sophie @humbug83 wrote, “Love the costumes. Liberty looks great as a zebra.”

Ellena @dizzyellena said, “@Liberty__Poole @JoeJohnsonIce Love Madagascar and your performance on #DancingOnIce, you guys are amazing!!!”

After Ben Foden’s elimination last weekend, 11 celebrities remain in contention, including Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor, Brummie Love Islander’s Liberty Poole and Happy Mondays star Bez.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby host ITV’s new Dancing on Ice series, with Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and newcomer Oti Mabuse on the judging panel.
