Robert Pattinson has revealed he does ‘ambient electronic music’ while in costume while filming the upcoming film The Batman.
Pattinson plays the titular superhero in the new Matt Reeves-directed film, which hits theaters March 4, and in a new interview with GQhe spoke of the “island” nature of filming the film, which he described as a “bubble within a bubble” just outside of London.
Speaking to GQ, he said: “The nature of filming was so insular, always filming at night, just very dark all the time, and I felt very alone. Even being in costume all the time. You’re not really allowed out of the studio with the costume on, so I barely knew what was going on outside.”
Given a “little tent” at the side of the set to “go chill,” Pattinson said, “I’ll be in the tent doing ambient electronic music in the costume, looking over the hood [the mask]. There’s something about the construction of the hood that makes it very difficult to read books, so you almost have to lean forward to see through the hood.”
It’s currently unknown if the world will hear any of this music, but you can watch a new trailer for the film below.
Last year it emerged that London location Printworks had been used to film scenes for the new film after the interior of the club was spotted in an early trailer for the film.
