Virtual Training Event: Personal Finance: Credit and Money Management with Operation Hope, Monday October 4 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom. Operation Hope and Triad Goodwill present a free workshop on credit and money management. Join us to learn more about building or increasing your credit score, creating a budget, how to read a credit report, and what can be done to correct mistakes that negatively affect your credit rating. register here
Virtual Training Event: Improve your CV on Wednesday, October 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom. This workshop teaches individuals how to prepare a professional resume that reflects their skills, knowledge and education relevant to the job they seek. This will include: What information to include in your resume, how to clearly and concisely present your skills and abilities, resume styles, common rules and common mistakes made in a resume. register here
In-Person Training Event: Resume Development, Thursday, October 7 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Triad Goodwill Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Learn ways to strengthen your resume appropriately and incorporate work experience gained while incarcerated. This will include: Defining what a resume is and its purpose, learning different resume formats and the pros and cons of each, step by step creating the most common sections found on resumes, knowing ways to strengthen your resume appropriately, learning what information should be included and pitfalls to avoid, as well as preparing and writing your resume. register here
Virtual training event: how to pass a virtual interview Thursday October 7 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom. This workshop will teach individuals the best practices for attending virtual job fairs and virtual interviews. This will include: How to prepare for a virtual interview, how to find a suitable interview space and what to wear for a virtual interview. register here
In-person training: Job search: How to search for a job Thursday, October 7 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. Greensboro. Job hunting can be a difficult and sometimes frustrating task. This workshop will guide participants through best practices for job searching, how to use keywords to find the right jobs, set up accounts and download files, and more. register here

Jobs On The Outside Orientation (in-person continuing education) Triad Goodwill presents the Jobs on The Outside Orientation program. Find out how this program can help you explore opportunities, learn skills, and sell yourself for success. Orientation takes place Every Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at our Career Center at 1235 Eugene Street Greensboro, NC. Registration required. HVAC Certification Program! Daily information sessions
In-Person Information Session: HVAC Certification Program, daily 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Triad Goodwill Career Center, 1235 S. Eugene St. Greensboro NC 27406. Are you looking for a career change with great earning potential? Interested in a career in the HVAC industry? The starting salary for entry level positions as an HVAC technician is on average $ 18 per hour. We recently partnered with Maintenance Heroes (a division of Occupancy Heroes Incorporated) and the local non-profit organization Reading Connections to deliver an exceptional HVAC training program to all interested adults in central North Carolina. In addition, we have established a partnership with WRLP (Welfare Reform Liaison Project) to provide support services to skilled people.
