Virtual training event: Microsoft Mondays: Power BI – Dashboard Building, Monday, February 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. via Zoom. Microsoft Power BI is powerful analysis and reporting software. In this afternoon lesson, you will learn about various key features of the Power BI service. The course focuses on building reports using the Power BI desktop, creating operational dashboards, and sharing content through the Power BI service platform. register here

In-Person Training Event: How to Tell Your Story, Thursday, February 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Learn to articulate your skills, strengths and work experiences; practice answering difficult/uncomfortable questions, such as criminal history. This will include: Focusing on interview preparation Learning how to answer different types of interview questions Learning how to articulate skills, strengths and work experience Learning and practicing how to answer difficult or uncomfortable questions , such as gaps in work experience, criminal history, illegal interview questions, etc. Plus, learning and being able to employ effective and successful follow-up strategies, the keys to branding yourself and identifying appropriate attire for an interview. register here

The Microsoft PowerPoint course covers a wide range of topics to help you create powerful presentations. Jobs On The Outside Orientation (in-person continuing education) Triad Goodwill presents Jobs on The Outside program Orientation. Find out how this program can help you explore opportunities, learn skills, and market yourself for success. Orientation takes place Every Mondayfrom 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at our 1235 Eugene Street Greensboro, NC Career Center. Registration required. HVAC Certification Program! Information sessions every day

In-Person Information Session: HVAC Certification Programdaily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill Career Center, 1235 S. Eugene St. Greensboro NC 27406. Looking for a career change with great earning potential? The starting salary for entry-level positions as an HVAC technician averages $18 per hour.

We recently partnered with Maintenance Heroes (a division of Occupancy Heroes Incorporated) and local nonprofit Reading Connections to deliver an exceptional HVAC training program to all interested adults in central North Carolina. Additionally, we have partnered with WRLP (Welfare Reform Liaison Project) to provide support services to qualified individuals.
