In-Person Training Event: Personal Finance Workshop, Wednesday, December 8 from 10:00 am at Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Join Triad Goodwill for this collaborative event with the Guilford County Re-entry Council.

Joy Easterling from Operation Hope will walk participants through a series of skills related to: budgeting, paying off debt, saving money, understanding your credit score, how to read a credit report, your rights as a consumer, settle accounts, dispute inaccurate information, and Build and rebuild your credit profile.

The event is open to those who want to learn new skills to manage their finances. Participants are requested to pre-register here:


Virtual Training Event: Email Basics – Email Introduction Monday December 6 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In this workshop, you will learn what email is, how to use it, and best practices for composing email. This will include: defining email and identifying common email clients, learning about the basic features and tools of your email account, and practicing using email. register here


Virtual Training Event: Microsoft Excel – Spreadsheet Basics Monday December 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The course is designed to introduce participants to Microsoft Excel software. By the end of the course, participants will be able to work independently and with others to effectively create a spreadsheet using the Excel platform. This course is also beneficial for participants familiar with Excel functionalities and wishing to refresh their knowledge. register here


Virtual training event: a guide for Google Drive: Google forms Wednesday December 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Google Forms is free online software that lets you create surveys, quizzes, and more. It is part of Google’s suite of web applications including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, etc. It’s a versatile tool that can be used for a variety of applications, from collecting RSVPs for an event to creating a pop quiz.register here


In-person training event: how to tell your story, Thursday, December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Learn to express your skills, strengths and work experiences; practice answering difficult / uncomfortable questions, such as criminal history. This will include: Focusing on interview preparation, Learning to answer different types of interview questions, Learning to articulate skills, strengths and work experience, Learning and practicing how to answer difficult or uncomfortable questions , such as gaps in work experience, criminal history, illegal interview questions, and more … In addition, learning and being able to employ effective and successful follow-up strategies, the keys to rebranding and identifying the appropriate dress for an interview. register here


In-person training event: how to work with a team, Friday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Being part of a team is part of the successful journey of any employee. This workshop is designed to teach participants skills related to working with colleagues at work, working as a team to complete tasks or projects, and being an active member of your company’s workforce. register here


In-Person Training Event: Leadership Series Part 1 – Managing Yourself, Friday, December 10 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Triad Goodwill’s Career Center at 1235 S. Eugene St. in Greensboro. Leadership skills are in demand by every employer across the country, whether you are wanted for a position in a company, have worked in a company for years, or are looking for advancement and promotion. This workshop focuses on teaching skills related to managing ourselves as leaders, which include: Demonstrating integrity and honesty in a consistent manner, Interpersonal skills for the leader, Accessing and recognizing the need for continuous learning, Manage pressure effectively; resilience, oral and written communication skills, flexibility and problem solving. register here

Jobs On The Outside Orientation (in-person continuing education) Triad Goodwill presents the Jobs on The Outside Orientation program. Learn more about how this program can help you explore opportunities, learn skills, and sell yourself for success. HVAC Certification Program! Daily information sessions

In-Person Information Session: HVAC Certification Program, daily 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Triad Goodwill Career Center, 1235 S. Eugene St. Greensboro NC 27406. Are you looking for a career change with great earning potential? Interested in a career in the HVAC industry? The starting salary for entry level positions as an HVAC technician is on average $ 18 per hour. We recently partnered with Maintenance Heroes (a division of Occupancy Heroes Incorporated) and the local non-profit organization Reading Connections to deliver an exceptional HVAC training program to all interested adults in central North Carolina. In addition, we have established a partnership with WRLP (Welfare Reform Liaison Project) to provide support services to skilled people.
